During the Eco Cities Forum, USAID JCP signed a Letter of Understanding in the presence of the Minister of Environment, His Excellency, Taher El Shakhsheer. The Letter of Understanding between USAID JCP and the King Hussein Business Park has the goal of assisting KHBP management to transform the park into a solar-enabled smart campus that would attract and enable innovation, technology and enhance competitiveness and job creation in the Clean Tech and Information and Communication Technology sectors. |

Solar Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles |
During the MENA ICT Forum, USAID JCP witnessed the signing of a Letter of Commitment between the Ministry of Environment, Greater Amman Municipality, All Cell consortium, and the King Hussein Business Park. This was a public private partnership During the MRT During the MENA ICT Forum, USAID JCP witnessed the signing of a Letter of Commitment between the Ministry of Environment, Greater Amman Municipality, All Cell consortium, and the King Hussein Business Park. This was a public private partnership facilitated by USAID JCP to bring solar charging stations for electric vehicles to Jordan. All Cell plans to start with nine charging stations in Amman in addition to the one inaugurated at KHBP during the Forum. Upon signing the LoC, the Mayor of Amman announced that GAM will be purchasing 50 electric vehicles as part of its support for this pilot. |
